Dregs, Unfinished — Mixed Media Collage on Coffee-Stained Canvas

Dregs, Unfinished is an original mixed media collage on coffee-stained canvas — a continuation of the Dregs body of work, and a piece that refused to wrap itself up neatly.

Built from burlap, corrugated cardboard, vintage book pages, antique sheet music, hand-torn paper with Asian calligraphy, fiber, and gauze — all layered over a coffee-stained ground with burned and singed edges throughout. Some pieces are bound. Some are barely holding on. The whole thing leans into the idea that not every story gets a clean ending, and not every wound closes the way you think it should.

Unfinished isn't a flaw here. It's the thesis.

This is for the ones still in the middle of it. The ones who've stopped pretending the work is done just because it's been a while. Layered, scorched, stitched together with what was on hand — and left exactly where it needed to be left.

Built raw and intentional. The burn marks are real. The coffee stains are real. The materials carry the weight of where they came from.
